Awards
The WSASCD Recognition Program is
designed to identify and honor teachers, educational assistants,
principals, curriculum specialists, superintendents, school
board members, college professors, and others who have made
noteworthy contributions that enhance the growth and development
of educators and students.
Any individual actively involved
in education may be nominated. Individuals may be recognized
through either the Local Recognition Program or the State
Recognition Awards. It is easy to nominate a worthy individual.
The Local Recognition Program
accepts nominations at any time. It is designed to identify and
honor teachers, education assistants, principals, curriculum
an instruction specialists, superintendents, school board
members, college faculty and others who have made noteworthy
contributions than enhance the growth and development of
educators and/or students. Any individual actively involved
with education may be nominated.
The
State Recognition Awards
are presented annually at the WSASCD Annual Conference Awards Luncheon.
These awards acknowledge excellence at the local, district, and
regional/state level for programs, teams, and individuals.
Nominations are sought a few months prior to the conference and forms
are available from the WSASCD office, included in the WSASCD
Report newsletter, and online.
Work
is ongoing for an online Historical
Record of
awards. Currently listed are the 2001 to present State
Recognition Awards.
