The WSASCD Recognition Program is designed to identify and honor teachers, educational assistants, principals, curriculum specialists, superintendents, school board members, college professors, and others who have made noteworthy contributions that enhance the growth and development of educators and students.

Any individual actively involved in education may be nominated. Individuals may be recognized through either the Local Recognition Program or the State Recognition Awards. It is easy to nominate a worthy individual.

The Local Recognition Program accepts nominations at any time. It is designed to identify and honor teachers, education assistants, principals, curriculum an instruction specialists, superintendents, school board members, college faculty and others who have made noteworthy contributions than enhance the growth and development of educators and/or students. The State Recognition Awards are presented annually at the WSASCD Annual Conference Awards Luncheon. These awards acknowledge excellence at the local, district, and regional/state level for programs, teams, and individuals. Nominations are sought a few months prior to the conference and forms are available from the WSASCD office, included in the WSASCD Report newsletter, and online.

Work is ongoing for an online Historical Record of awards. Currently listed are the 2001 to present State Recognition Awards.
